Camaraderie & Connection are Key Components to Success
Presenter: Susan Glickman, VP of Policy & Partnerships, The CLEO Institute
Susan Glickman from The CLEO Institute, a leading nonprofit dedicated to climate literacy, advocacy, and community resiliency, will share how camaraderie and connection are key components to success. She will also talk to us about the essential role of women in the solar industry, as we deploy solar solutions to address our climate issues.
Activity Lead: Kellie Antonowicz, Director of Education, IDEAS for Us
Join us in a team building project where we get our hands dirty by creating small seed balls made of soil, clay and native flower seeds. We will have multiple tables set up with bowls of the different materials, and will work on molding the 1 inch diameter seed bombs. Learn about the importance of native landscaping and creating habitat for our pollinators.

Empowering Women in the Solar Energy Industry
Florida Women in Solar (FWS) was launched in 2023 at the Florida Solar & Storage Summit in Sarasota, Florida by the FlaSEIA Board of Directors, who were inspired to encourage more women to become involved in all facets of the solar and energy storage industry and to take senior positions in leading companies.
Are you passionate about shaping the future of the solar and energy storage industry? FWS welcomes both men and women committed to diversity in the Florida solar and energy storage industry.
