Florida Solar Contracting & Consumer Protections
Consumer Protection Statement: Florida has some of the most stringent consumer protection laws and regulations in the United States. These are in place to protect the consumer and the contractor.
FlaSEIA actively encourages ethical conduct among companies operating in the solar market. Our aim is to foster integrity and accountability within the industry, ensuring a trustworthy environment for all involved.
FlaSEIA and FSEC are proud to present the webinar course Florida Solar Contracting and Consumer Protections. This free 45 minute webinar goes over Florida contractor licensing requirements from Florida Statute 489 and the contract disclosure requirements from Florida Statute 520. It also reviews contract requirements, best practices for sales professionals, the penalties for exploitation of the elderly and Tortious Interference.
Individuals who complete the course will receive a certificate, registration number and be listed in a directory of individuals on the FlaSEIA website. This public directory allows homeowners to know that their sales consultant has completed the course. Only FlaSEIA member company employees are eligible to receive a certificate and be listed.
